Richard Hargreaves

Richard Hargreaves was educated as an engineer and conducted research in materials science before entering the world of venture capital with 3i. After ten years of making investments in smaller companies, he left to start Baronsmead plc. He developed Baronsmead over 13 years whilst being involved in the development of the industry through the British Venture Capital Association (“BVCA”), where he became chairman. He sold the company and managed it for two years. After a short gap he started Classic Fund Management Ltd. He sold this company in 2004 and founded Endeavour Ventures Ltd, which invests in young technology companies from its 250 strong client base of high net worth individuals and mentors them as they grow. He has more than thirty years experience in the venture capital world. He has strong analytical, corporate finance and entrepreneurial skills and is a very experienced non-executive director and business angel.
